POTA Activation With the Window Mount

As I discussed in the previous post, I added some gussets to the window mount to increase stiffness. The mount is made from ABS sheet and the gussets were attached using plastic epoxy. Then today I took it to the park (K-0993) for a trial activation. It deployed quickly and performed very well, making 12 Park to Park contacts in about 45 minutes. Once the AX1 is attached it’s a simple matter to deploy the KX2 and accessories in the passenger seat and get on the air. I have more efficient and effective antennas, but none that can be deployed so quickly.
